Intermediate Forums

To mobilize debate and dialogue on local economic development and promote commitment and joint action, a series of Intermediate Forums have been held since its inception. These forums discussed priorities and formulated concrete recommendations tailored to local realities.

The Intermediate Forums involved a wide range of stakeholders (local and regional governments, international organizations, the private sector, academia and civil society, and development agencies) and served not only to exchange experiences and best practices but also to strengthen strategic alliances and generate synergies among the different levels of governance and sectors involved in promoting local economic development.

Each Intermediate Forum has contributed to consolidating a shared vision of how LED can act as a lever for localizing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the local level, addressing structural challenges and emerging opportunities in diverse contexts.
